Pyramid connection – part two
Pyramids have fascinated me for most of my life, as you know from reading last week’s post. Joseph, my Hungarian friend, inspired my interest in applying the pyramid as a symbol of building a business and a life. He is an avid student of philosophy and we have spent many hours discussing the classical Greek philosophers and ancient Egypt. He constructed a model pyramid, based on the philosophy of Plato’s Republic. This model, received many years ago as a gift, sparked the concept of using a pyramid for my company logo and consulting business, Pinnacle Path Consulting.
Last week, you may have read about this basic concept and the explanation of the logo. Today, let’s take a closer look. The broad base of the pyramid represents your current reality. That is the sum total of your acquired knowledge, experience, talent, skill, and wisdom. That current reality is who you are, what you are, and what you have become; in other words, your essence. Let’s call this current place Point A.
Most of us want to grow and to advance in business and in life. However, many of us do not have a clear vision of where we want to go. Let’s go back to the pyramid model. There are four sides leaning inward so that they converge at a common point high above the center of the base. The sides are of equal size and of equal value. They represent facets of our life and the business we are building. The pinnacle represents our fulfillment as an individual. Let’s call that place Point B. The difference between Point A and Point B is our potential. Our challenge is to quantify that difference and to develop a plan of action that will allow us to attain the pinnacle.
The four sides of the pyramid might have labels such as:
- Time
- Money
- Purpose
- Focused Action
Each side represents a part of what it takes to reach the top. Each of us has a personal idea, or vision, of how high the pinnacle is. What we all have in common is an ideal of individual fulfillment. The pyramid image each of us has might be of varying sizes, but each is ideally suited to our unique self and is of equal value. The journey to the pinnacle of individual fulfillment is what I call The Pinnacle Path. Everyone is on a journey through life but those who reach a sense of fulfillment have this over all others; they know where they are going and why they want to get there.
I’d like to share some photographic examples of pyramids I make from exotic woods. You will notice that one is made of layers of colored wood. My friend, David, who lives in Santa Fe, NM, gifted me with a chunk of laminated wood when he discovered that I have a passion for handcrafting pyramids from unusual woods. Naturally, that “chunk of wood” was transformed into several unusual pyramids! The layers are an excellent representation of the many steps on the journey to the pinnacle.
Pinnacle Path Consulting is dedicated and committed to helping individuals discover their own “pinnacle path” and to helping them remain focused on the attainment of their pinnacle. If you are a person with an idea and an ideal, we can help you change your potential into realization. You can earn more money in less time and have more enjoyment in your career and in your life. Individual fulfillment is attainable. It starts with an idea, an ideal, and an intention to take focused action. Are you ready to take that initiative?
I await your call!
Hello Tom, that’s great to see those beautiful works of art with the wood I sent you. As always, I did not realize you could make pyramids but felt I should send you the wood. As I saw these, I remembered that other talent you have. Tom, its playing your guitar. Don’t forget to share that with the world.as well.
