It’s about time
Today, on the occasion of my wife’s birthday, I was thinking about the passage of time. It is said that time flies, especially as we get older. Maybe that is because we realize that we have fewer years ahead than those already past. However, none of us can ever know how much time will be allotted to us, nor do we really want to know. So we keep on going and keep having birthdays.
We all have the same amount of time to work with; 86,400 seconds each day, 168 hours each week. How we choose to use that time is crucial to our health, wealth, and success in business. Time moves on and so do our lives. What is important is whether we waste the time we have, or use it wisely.
Think about your life energy. We get to choose how we expend every second. Consider carefully, because once spent, it cannot be reclaimed nor exchanged for something different or better. Take some time to think about your rate of exchange.
On your next birthday, reflect on how you contributed to improving your life, business, or the world. Don’t let yourself fall into the category of regret, that you could have done this or should have done that—but didn’t! Regret is a hard feeling to live with. Isn’t it about time to get up and take action? I guarantee you’ll feel better, if you do!
