Ancient wisdom/Current Wisdom

Do you really want to be successful? What are you willing to do to achieve your goal? You ask, “What is the formula for achievement?” Here is a quotation from the past to guide you:

“First, have a definite, clear practical ideal: a goal, an objective.

Second, have the necessary means to achieve your ends; wisdom, money, materials, and methods.

Third, adjust all your means to that end.”

Sounds like the advice from almost every book, ever written, on the subject of success, doesn’t it? I’ll bet it will surprise you when you discover, from whom this quote came from! The author is none other than, Aristotle, the Greek philosopher, circa 350 BCE.

I can hear you saying, WOW! Now, let’s think about it. What are you attempting to do and to achieve? Try this age-old wisdom and apply it to your current endeavor. Do you want your business to grow and become a thriving concern that is profitable and provides financial security and personal fulfillment? Ask yourself what you really want. What are your ideas and ideals? How clear and practical are your goals and objectives? Have you committed it to a written plan? What about your means and your resources? Have you taken time to conduct a thorough assessment of what you have to work with and the methods you will employ to help you achieve your goals? Finally, are you crystal clear about aligning all of your means and actions to the progressive realization of your goals and objectives?

It doesn’t get any better than Aristotle’s ancient advice. This old boy knew exactly what he was talking about! No need to buy more books on the subject of how to achieve your goals. But, remember this; the first thing is to become very clear about what you want and why it is your obsession. Is it a worthy goal or ideal? This is the key that unlocks the door to success and achievement.

Now, what are you waiting for?
